Located in the Florida Keys, 75 miles south of Miami, the Florida Sea Base is Scouting's High Adventure aquatics facility. Among the various activities offered are sailing, windsurfing, motor boating, deep-sea fishing, lobstering, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Canoe trips through the Everglades are also available to adventurers who want to discover tropical plants and reptiles. Because of the warm climate, treks are available year-round and may be ideal for Christmas, spring break, or any other holidays. Usual group size is 6 to 8 Scouts; treks are for seven (7) days.

Explore the boundary waters of Canada and northern Minnesota by canoe. The Northern Tier Program offers a variety of six to ten day treks through the boundary waters. Fishing and whitewater trips are also available in this program which emphasizes low-impact camping, group leadership, and ecology. Group sizes are generally between six to eight persons.

The Philmont Scout Ranch is the place to go for rugged western adventure. Located in the Sangre de Christo Mountains of New Mexico, the Philmont program offers climbing, backpacking, and horseback treks through a colorful wilderness of towering peaks and valleys. Fishing a clear mountain stream, shooting black powder rifles, or panning for gold can taste Philmont's flavor of the West.
